The Treuman Katz Center for Pediatric Bioethics and Palliative Care, led by Dr. Douglas J. Opel, director, was the first in the country to focus on bioethics issues and palliative care scholarship in pediatrics. It serves as a national resource for addressing the complex bioethical issues affecting families, healthcare institutions and society.
