Welcome to the Vo Lab

The Vo Lab focuses on improving health equity and comprehensive care for the chronically ill child. Specific research topics include improving the shared decision-making process between families and clinicians and identifying strategies to decrease health disparities amongst patients with medical complexity.

Current Research/Scholarship Projects

Dr. Vo’s current research projects focus on improving the shared decision-making process for the initiation of pediatric home ventilation via tracheostomy and identifying strategies to decrease health disparities with a focus on the clinician-parent relationship. This work includes collaboration with investigators at Johns Hopkins Medical Center, University of Mississippi, Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital, University of Minnesota Medical Center, and Cincinnati Children’s Hospital.
